National sprinters Jereem Richards and Semoy Hackett will race for gold on Friday in the finals of their respective 200 metres events at the Pan American Games after Thursday’s qualifying races at the Athletics Stadium in the National Sporting Village in Lima Peru.
JEREEM Richards earned silver in the men’s 200-metre final, while the men’s 4x100m relay team also finished in the runners-up spot for TT’s second silver yesterday, sealing an historic outing at the Pan American Games in Lima, Peru.
Jereem Òthe DreamÓ Richards, in the MenÕs 200m dash, and the MenÕs 4x100m relay team both grabbed silver last evening, helping Team TTO to its biggest medal haul at a Pan American Games with two more days to go.
It was another sterling day’s performance by T&T’s athletes at the Pan American Games in which three more medals were added to the tally in Lima, Peru on Saturday.
National sprinter Jereem “The Dream” Richards and rower Felice Chow copped silver medals on Friday at the Pan American Games, while late Thursday night, swimmer Dylan Carter bagged a bronze medal to increase T&T’s medal count to ten.
