TOCO Secondary School defended its title as the overall champions of the Secondary Schools Track and Field Association Schools Relay Festival held yesterday at the Larry Gomes Stadium in Malabar, Arima.

RICHARD JONES, the national coach for the North America, Central America and Caribbean Athletic Association (NACAC) Cross Country Championship team, said TT’s athletes must switch their mentality for the the 2019 Championships at 2pm today. Jones said the local runners must shift focus from an individual mindset to a team performance.

THE national male and female middle-distance runners always faced an uphill task against the likes of traditional cross country powerhouses USA and Canada at yesterday’s North America, Central America and Caribbean Athletics Association (NACAC) 2019 Cross Country Championships, at the Queen’s Park Savannah, Port-of-Spain. The results yesterday highlighted the gap between the North American countries and the Caribbean.
