Donstan Bonn :: Trinidad Express :: 20.07.2018

Trinidad and Tobago's Jereem "The Dream" Richards captured fifth place in the men's 200 metres event at the IAAF Diamond League Track and Field Meet in Monte Carlo, Monaco, on Friday.

Drawn in lane three, Richards was in contention early but didn't find much in the dying stage of the race, stopping the clock in 20.16 seconds.

Noah Lyles of the United States grabbed gold in a world leading time of 19.69, just one hundredth of a second outside the meet record established by fellow American Justin Gatlin four years ago. Lyles' time was also a new personal and season's best.

Richards' time was outside both his personal best of 19.97 and season's best of 19.99
